Facilities Challenges

The creation of workable, durable facilities to house the ducks, grow food in a greenhouse, catch and store water, generate solar power and more is the biggest challenge of homesteading.  The Facilities Catch?  They have to tie together and work together, and it’s best to have a plan before creation.

The plan began by terracing the yard.  (Write about the process here.)  Then the greenhouse super structure, followed by purchase and installation of solar power then water catchment.  All of these things work together by (explain how here).  An example is how water catchment and containment will be distributed to the  duck pond, whose used water (think fertilizer) will then be distributed through a network of underground pipes to both the greenhouse and the terrace gardens where we will have melon patches and plants beneficial to the ducks , like yarrow and chamomille.
